Hillsboro Plein Air: An Outdoor Painting Event

On Saturday, July 19, the Walters Cultural Arts Center will host Hillsboro Plein Air: An Outdoor Painting Event and competition presented by the Hillsboro Arts and Culture Council. Last year over two dozen artists painted in the open air of the historic downtown Hillsboro area for fun and prizes. This year painters will again enjoy painting the sights of Main Street including the Saturday Market. Additionally there will be a series of historically themed tableaux vivants presented for those painters with an inclination towards figurative and narrative art. There will be over $1000 in prizes as well as door prizes. The first fifty participating artists to check-in at the Arts Center on the day of the event will receive a free event T-shirt.
